One Minute is Sixty Seconds: An observation

I have come to the conclusion there is not accurate measure of time and I do not trust it. The story goes a little something like this:
I was baking (go figure) nothing new, just some chocolate chip cookies because I wanted a cookie, but didn't want to buy a cookie. While I was waiting for them to bake and my house filled with the sweet aroma of cinnamon, chocolate, and sugar, I was playing a computer game. This particular game has a 60 second clock. Completely unintentional, I hit the play now button as the timer chirps to tell me it has 60 seconds left. Simultanoesly. Exactly the same time. You would think the timer from the game and the timer from the oven would go off at the same time if they were started at the same time. Well, let me tell you, I finished my 60 seconds of the game, sauntered into the kitchen, grabbed an oven mit from the drawer, and still had 5 seconds before the time went off. No Sense Whatsoever.

Relevance? This was a conundrum. I began to ponder about the judgement of time. 60 minutes in an hour; 60 seconds in a minute; 1000 milliseconds in a second. Can the human brain think in milliseconds? It's exhausting. It seems the change from day to night would be the only accurate measure of time, but even that is faulty depending on where you live.

Who knows? Time to do what I do best in life: Enjoy it!
