Back to my reality.

I have been longing for an adventure as of late, which is probably where the idea of starting to date has come from. I will be attending Lollapalooza in Chicago in August which is a pretty grand adventure, but something to hold me over until then. I contemplated another tattoo, but the only piece I want is too expensive. I thought maybe a mini road trip to Orlando, but thought better of it. So I am curious what to do to satisfy my desire for the next big venture beneath the skies.

After the rant/vent post of last, which was inspired by a few recent annoyances in my life, I took a break from a number of activities to think; think about writing, music, friends, love, death, everything. And while I do not believe that dating will make my want for a journey dissipate, I think it would be funny; after all, I always end up in some absurd situations.

Slight break from actual blog for an observation:

I realized that I have three groups of friends when it comes to the subject of my love life: a) the "you need someone because I need someone" friends (the friend that is condescending to my single status and says that I just NEED to start dating); b) the "I enjoy our single life" friends (I worry about this group because they can either turn into friend group a or c when they bite the bullet of relationship status); c) which is my favorite group, "you are awesome, I am awesome let's have fun and if either has a significant other, that's cool but said significant other is not the focus of my life" friends- I believe this one explains itself but this is the friend that knows the balance of life; I do have a number of these friends, and to you I say thank you for being awesome and not trying to shove your conformist relationship ideologies down other people's throats! No, there was no other way to say that, sorry!

Okay, back!

On to things I love more than the company of similar minded people:
I finished The Hobbit. As I have already said, there is nothing really negative I can say about the novel. It is obviously in the literary canon because of its brilliance. I will say this, Mirkwood was my all time favorite part of the novel; it was eerie and fantastical and brilliant. The elves and the spider war and the escape from the Elvesking castle have my heart. haha.
I decided to read The Restaurant at the End of the Universe which is the second book in the trilogy of 5 of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy for a quick, funny read before moving onto another novel in the list of 45.

Holy Canoli Cupcakes coming soon! Hopefully, that is, if they are delicious.
Also testing a cornbread muffin/cupcake thing that should be tasty! Enjoy!
