There is nothing like the feeling of getting a tattoo, and it has nothing to do with masochism; I just really like the adrenaline rush. So last night I got a tattoo, a quote that no one understands (unless, of course, they have read and understood the novel) from one of my favorite novels, "Anthem" by Ayn Rand.
It is strange to look down at my wrist and see Rand's words displayed there, but it also makes me happy. More importantly, it reminds to trudge forward towards the things that I want, not necessarily towards what others want for me. That being said, I am officially (and scared shitlessly) decided that it is time to write my own novel. Leave some of these short stories behind.
On another note, getting a tattoo on your wrist can seriously put a damper on sleeping habits. I woke up about 7 times last night because I was in an uncomfortable position for fear of my new tattoo.
Until next time. Enjoy.
