View from the iPhone

When I am going about my day-to-day life, I have a tendency of suddenly needing a pen and paper because I see/hear something that inspires a thought; while I do carry around one of my 6 or so journals at all times, I sometimes grab make a note or take a photograph with my phone. These are some things I enjoyed.

Fortune cookie wisdom:
- when faced with 2 evils, always pick the one you haven't tried yet.
- never wear your best pants in the fight for freedom.
- Don't repay a kindness, pass it on.

Random thoughts:
- The smell of singed flesh is that of a boy's high school locker room; poached eggs, swiss cheese, and sweat; dig in.
- Winning by being bred to be mediocre.
- If I ever do acid again, I want to do it in a park with tall trees, and all the lovely sounds of nature; of course, it would also be during the day.
- What is with these girls who constantly need validation of self worth through the eyes of a man? (this is a question I frequently ask myself about other women. I think it is more important what you think of yourself; not what your significant other thinks.)
- my favorite: I JUST WANT TO MAKE A FEW MISTAKES! (typing it in all caps on an iPhone 3GS not that easy so I must have been pissed)

- I love the idea of being in love, but when it comes down to it, I am in love with the idea of being a free spirit more. I am niave in the sense that I believe the world is beautiful, and I treat people well, and do not receive it in return, but I am realistic enough to understand all the flaws in the human psyche, including my own.

> That is my sister Jessica and her boyfriend Andrew. We went on a beach adventure day.

Bikes are rad. Sometimes they are similar to their owners; clutzy; slightly unpolished; rustic; a statement of style; a trend.

I can not take credit for this photograph, my sister took it.

- Walking around middle- class neighborhoods on an early Saturday morning, dressed in Sundays best; fanning themselves with flyers they will soon be attempting to pass out in this blistering Florida sun. Trying to spread the word of Jehovah, trying to save us. Some of us don't want to be saved.

- God is a voyeur. I remember in Church they would always say, "God is always watching."  Always. As a little girl, I would be getting ready to shower, cover my privates and tell God not to watch because it was not polite to watch little girls shower. God is always watching and so is the peeping Tom, or the stalker outside, just out of your view, blanketed by the darkness, outside your bedroom window...

And on that note, I will hopefully be posting a book review soon of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay as well as a few recipes I have tried recently... Enjoy!
